Back then, the Nissan GTR was a car that surpassed all expectations of what a car can be. It still does today. The best example of this is the GTR track pack. What you get in the track pack are small adjustments to make the car go faster. For example you get stiffer springs, better seats and a few brake cooling guides at the front to the car. The GTR was never a simple car. The GTR makes very impressive “numbers” by tire grip. The rims look pretty ugly, however, it is extremely functional. They are the same rims you would find on the GTR Black Series. The Nissan GT-R is powered by the VR38DETT V6 engine, a 3,800 cc (3.8 L; 231.9 cu in) DOHC V6 with plasma transferred wire arc sprayed cylinder bores. The engines creates 545 horsepower. Two parallel Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI) turbochargers provide forced induction.Nissan states the GT-R can reach a top speed of 193 mph (311 km/h), Motor Trend recorded a top speed of 195.0 mph (313.8 km/h).In tests the original production model was shown to be capable of achieving 0-60 mph (97 km/h) times as low as 3.2 seconds using “launch control.” However, with the new improvements in the track pack will do it in 2.7 seconds. The GTR is a science experiment. The tires are filled with nitrogen to prevent major air volume changes and the engine is covered in plasma sheeting. The engine send power through to the rear and on a separate axle, back the the front. This is weird, but effective. With its crazy aggressive spoiler at the back, the car gets great downforce. The brakes provide good feels as the Brembo Carbon Ceramic brakes work the speed down. The most important aspect is the tires. The Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX GT 600 DSST CTT tires have tremendous grip. The tire is so race spec that it should not be driven through rainy conditions. The car gives an impression that it can do anything. This car starts at about 110,000 USD. Great value and performance, beating cars that cost 300,000 USD. This car looks good too. The front looks super aggressive and the back has an interesting Ferrari style tail lights. Driving feel for this car is also a forte. The car has stupendous grip, traction, acceleration and speed. In fact, this car has been nicknamed “Godzilla” because it just eats roads up and tears up the track. Nissan has done a great job making a sports car. The ease of getting to the car’s limit lets any driver be able to drive this car fast.
